The Cold War
you will complete a short essay that answers a question about that issue, using the sources and general media that we have covered in class for the unit. You may not use outside materials for issue papers. Sources should be cited using Chicago style, and the paper should include a bibliography. Each paper should be 750-1000 words in length.
Issue Paper ONE should address the following question:
What were the direct impacts of nineteenth-century imperialism, the Cold War and the doctrine of anti-communism on Latin America? Using video, secondary, and primary source materials, provide three examples that demonstrate the ways in which imperialism and anti-communism directed US foreign policy in Latin America in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Be sure that you’re citing your sources in Chicago Style formatted footnotes. Examples of this in the document drop box.
Here are links to sources that must be used in this paper. The rest of the sources are in the form of documents. No outside sources are allowed in this assignment so everything cited must be taken from these given sources.
