Applying Amazon best practices to government organization.

– Evaluate an Amazon best practice that addresses a leadership, management, transformation, or organizational culture issue and has utility in government organization. Address the following with a minimum of 1-page for each section.

1. Problem Identification: Discuss the leadership challenge, transformation, culture and/or problem set (i.e., what types of problems were being addressed using the best practice);

2. Best Practice: Evaluate the best practice(s) relating to the leadership or management area and how the best practice was implemented (include key elements of the best practice);

3. Application to leadership and management literature: Assess which leadership, motivational, organizational theories or change management approaches are applicable to the best practice.

4. Application to U.S. government organization in national security, intelligence, or law enforcement (eg. DNI or DHS).  [What issues are similar to the problems addressed by the best practice?  How could the best practice be applied?  Are there any challenges or barriers to implementation (structure, culture, people, legal, etc.)?  If so, how can they be overcome?
