Of special importance is the fact that despite the turbulence and economic uncertainty surrounding the infamous Brexit action, the UK continues to attract foreign direct investments.

This implies that it is worth exploring the reasons why the UK as an economic hub in Europe is an amalgam destination for investors and individuals looking to settle there permanently. This is compounded by the fact that it has become slightly difficult nowadays for non-European citizens to get a residence visa or citizenship by naturalization, and even harder for everybody once Brexit is fully realized.

Existing studies on the subject are however sporadic and insufficient because they are neither holistic not fully empirical. There is a need for thorough and in-depth research on the phenomenon, aimed at fully assisting in creating a scholastic weltanschauung which can be emulated across the world. This review delves into existing works of literature focusing mainly on the reasons they provide as the fundamental basis why individuals choose the UK as both an investment destination and a permanent home.
