Web-Based Enterprise Assignment
CHPs, Inc. You and three of your friends/colleagues have identified a new business opportunity. You are all highly skilled with anything that involves computers and cellular technology. All of your personal technology is state of the art, and you keep up with all the latest trends. It has not escaped your notice that not everyone is as skilled. This is particularly true of the aging baby boomers and others who have not had to use technology before. Therefore, you have established your company, Computer Helper Patrol (CHP's, Inc.), as a Web-based enterprise. For a monthly fee of $25, anyone with a computer is entitled to two hours of personalized assistance by telephone, e-mail, or shared desktop on a 24- hour basis.
Whether the client wishes to update software, link computers, or program their cell phone, you are always ready to help. For an additional fee, you will make house calls or provide additional time. You will have to decide on the following: Who exactly will be your primary target customer? Individuals? Small businesses? Others? • Define the exact service/benefit you will provide to your target. • How will you promote your business to your potential customers? • What will your Website look like? .
